Step Up for Down Syndrome with DSIA

Sunday, October 23 | 9am-1pm

(at the corner of Sutterville & Freeport)

Your participation increases awareness, celebrates hope, and supports the Down syndrome community. All funds raised will support education, advocacy, and local programs that support and empower individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and our community! It’s an event for the young and young at heart. Whether you choose to roll, stroll, walk, or hang out and enjoy the festivities, there is fun for everyone!

Come enjoy music, entertainment, a FREE BBQ lunch (with registration), kids' zone... there's so much to do!

Many vendors will be present - including people with disabilities selling their art, 2012 calendars featuring local children with Down syndrome, educational and developmental toys, the list goes on!

Schedule of Events

9:00	Registration opens – be sure to get there early!
10:00	Opening program (music, activities, vendors, kids’ zone, etc.)
10:30	Walk starts
11:30	Picnic (including free BBQ lunch for registered participants), entertainment, children’s activities, etc.

PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED to the team with the highest donations* (including recognition on the 2012 walk t-shirt!!!) and to the team with the most spirit!

T-shirts are no longer guaranteed with registration. The last day to be guaranteed a t-shirt was Friday, 14 October. Although we hope we will have enough extra shirts, we might not have enough to accommodate participants who missed the t-shirt deadline.

The last day to register online (and be guaranteed the free BBQ lunch) is noon on Saturday, 22 October. After that time you must register in person at the walk, but lunch cannot be guaranteed.

Registration fees: General - $10 for ages 12 and up; Child - $5 for ages 11 and under.

*The cut-off date for team with the "highest donations" is noon on Saturday, October 22. Prize will be awarded based on figures that day. But, you may continue to receive donations up through December 31, 2011!
